Favorite Grand strategy Games?

I'm real new at grand strategy..I'm playing my first one which is Europa Universalis 3 ..I'm a real rookie at these..I've played of coarse the civ games but I'm talking more complexity..

Just curious if anyone enjoys this type of game and which are you playing?

I guess you are talking about 4x games. Galactic Civilizations 2 is awesome. Diplomacy in that game rocks. It doesn't feel like you are playing just to kill everybody else, because you don't have to.

What is 4x?

I like Victoria: An Empire Under the Sun and the expansion Victoria: Revolutions.

Space Empires V has a lot of potential but it still has a few too many bugs/exploits/as yet unimplemented features to fully recommends. Maybe in one or two more patch cycles.

I used to dig Disciples II and Emperor of the Fading Suns a lot too.

EDIT: Oh yeah, ignore the recommendations for Company of Heroes. As I'm sure you're aware, it's got nothing to do with the realm of grand strategy.

EU3, hearts of iron 2.........and btw, paradox is making an expansion pack for EU3 called Napolionic Wars.

haha i laughed when i saw this, c&c games r simple rts, nothing near being called GRAND strategy games. Same goes for CoH
