Also keep in mind that they gave Dead Space an 8.7 and I love it, deserved at least a 9.0

Really? I got bored of dead space fairly quickly. Dropped it after 3-4 hours of playtime

Really? I got bored of dead space fairly quickly. Dropped it after 3-4 hours of playtime Oh, well it's all subjective I guess. I just happened to like it alot. It was one of my first scary games, maybe thats why. I also played on 360 so maybe that made a difference
Off the top of my head, IGN has also awarded 10s to the Original 4 Pokemon Games, the Zelda Ages/Seasons games, and Soul Calibur, so the list isn't that exclusive. That being said, while you may not trust IGN, you can certainly rely on Jason Ocampo, who was one of Gamespot's best reviewers.
IDK that review sort of changed my mind about the game and like u guys said i sort of trust Ocampo. But im going to wait for a couple more reviews b4 i decide to spend money on this.
Not surprised at all really, never expected FEAR 2 to really be the game of 2009. It's falling about where I thought it would, averageing an 8 around the boards though a few users who have played say the game is great. Guess I'll find out for myself tomorrow.
7.0 seems fair. i tried the demo and it just had nothing in it. actually i think it had less atmosphere than original FEAR. maybe because it's all been seen before.
