FEAR 3... no hype...?

It releases tomorrow I believe... but it's like nobody knows (or nobody cares)???

It's been out for nearly a week in the states. I haven't played it myself, yet. But I have heard many people say that it is a much better game than the 2nd one.

I just got it for 30 bucks (Gotta love seller's from India on eBay), I'm pretty excited, I've loved every F.E.A.R. game (Even Perseus Mandate and 2).

The consensus is FEAR >> F3AR > FEAR 2 .

I don't know I have other stuff to play not interested in the moment.

thats because its a forgetabble game, i had fun while it lasted but 2 days after i already forgot about it

i might be one of the few who thought it was worse than fear 2.

I think all the hype and arguing is gonna be over skyrim, bf3, codmw3, and kotor, q4 2011 is big for gaming can't wait :D

It's another consolized port on PC, what's there to hype?

Reviews and gameplay videos show slow-mo. Rumor debunked... in this thread at least.

I'm pretty sure F.E.A.R. 3 still has slow-mo - I think the gamespot review mentioned it.

I remember seeing the "live-action" trailer for this game - it was one of the silliest things I've ever watched. I personally would have switched the brothers, so point-man was clean shaven and fettel had a beard and long hair. I was just waiting for point man to say, "Madness...? THIS IS SPARRRRRRRRRRRTA!" :D

Also, I swear the point-man was holding the gun way too high. I don't even play that many shooters, but it looked odd and it didn't seem like he could see through the scope - or aim at all.

Waiting for my copy to release as well. One of my Steam friends with the game says he's too scared **** to continue and wants to wait for me for co-op XD.

People complain about scares, as if FEAR was ever scary lol. At least FEAR 3 still has that amazing feature where you miss all the scripted "scares" because you're too busy looking in another direction, but the musical cues still PLAY LOUDLY and then you're confused and pissed off.

Also, it's an excellent shooter. I was playing Crysis 2 today and hated the weapons. FEAR 3's gunplay is among the best ever. Fettel is very fun to play. The level design is very good and the art is excellent. If you like shooters, please do yourself a favour and buy this. Don't hate just because it's not made by Monolith. The goddamn Fracture developers delivered a FEAR experience that's better and closer to the original FEAR than Project Origin.

The slow-mo gets upgraded as you play, just like in the previous games.

Haha yeah that did happen to me a bit to often to, I was like did something just happen?

About the weapons, yeah they are ok, but they could have included some from 2nd game. And to be honest Crysis 2 weapons werent that bad, it was the rigid attachment system that I didnt like. I so wanted to change scopes in FEAR 3 alas it was not meant to be. By the way the reason I enjoyed FEAR3 more then 2nd was because 2nd game lvls were boring. If you watch the lets plays on youtube, youl see some of the sections are to long without any plot development. The mech parts were fun so was streetfighting replicatns, but the sewer ones realy killed the mood in 2nd game.

Edit: Also the debrief scene with Beckett (FEAR2 hero) was amusing to watch in FEAR3.

it is very good game , it has slow motion , also nice atmosphere , and i noticed that has DX 11 support but i don't have a card to support it so others can say how it looks

also when u finish a level u can replay it with the other brother which is very cool to play with him but i prefer hitting people with bullets ,

honestly very fun , not honestly it doesn't worth the 50 bucks , i'd say 35-40 max

I've been playing it for a few days, the combat mechanics and guns are excellent, the graphics are good but not amazing, but that isn't a problem as my computer can only handle it on medium so it looks satisfactory. It's not scary though, and the attempts to scare you degrade into things leaping at you and creepy people coming out of nowhere, resulting in a slightly nervous, slow and boring experience through these particular sections. Haven't tried playing as Fettel yet though.
