whats their not to understand?since iam very sleepy iam gonna keep this short...ghost u c is alma,a lil crazy but can control peoples mind was used by her own father for experiments,was kept locked in a room,gave birth to two kids(twins)at the age of 16 and then died her spirit split into two,one which wants to save her son and the other(naked one)which wants to kill her son so that they can be together after death...u play as one of the sons,the elder one,and hs brother whos name i dont seem to remember(the guy who eats people and u shoot him at the end is your bro)he is under almas control..and those troops u fight are your own clone actually your bros clones,so iam pretty sure every man u killed in the game looks exactly like u....so 8 year old alma wants to protect you and 16 year old alma wants to kill you...and she is also controlling all those soldiers and your brother simple..oh by the way in the last interval alma does kill her father and if i remember correctly also her own sister...and since she was treated like crap she is also in a very foul mood so she will keep destroying everything in her path....see one of the best game stories ever,no matter how hard u try u cant keep it short.biswajit90210

Meh, I don't like how you put it... And it was never made clear whom the clones originated from. They are definately not Fettel's because they would have to sound identical which of course they don't. The pointman is an unlikely source as he was almost immediately shoved into military programs which would pave way for his position in F.E.A.R. They most likely are Alma's male variant clones and it is noted that Project Origin, not the sequal the in-game project, started out with prototypes being cloned from her DNA before they moved on to impregnating her with genetically engineered prototypes.

I also reject anything Vivendi put out in the way of expansions. They were just milking the franchise and I do not hold any part of there stories to be true to the series.

lol............Yeah, that is kinda hard to understand. "psysop", "chines", "disapers", "specail".......never heard of them before. New words for the future dictionaries i believe.:P

Idk, it's a sequal after all. There gonna polish up the formula and slap better graphics on it and they've also got a mech suit you can operate. I expect more or less the same. I can't wait for the open enviroments though. Why? If they use the same AI or an improved AI we'll really get to see its full potential. That is gonna be awesome.

1. some guy name Paxton Fettel (spelling) goes crazy in a research lab; he is a psychic commander and controls an army of clones.

2. In comes FEAR, First Encounter Assault Recon, to assess the situation along with some Delta members. You are the newest recruit of FEAR, with reflexes that "are off the charts" (that is all the explanation given to the bullet time effects).

3. So they send you out on your mission to track Paxton Fettel. 80% of the game consist of you being one step behind Fettel.

4. As you chase him, you start seeing these visions of this girl in red. This is alma, one half of the psychic projection of the real Alma. She does not harm you, but she basically liquifies a bunch of delta guys and some other folks.

5. Pretty soon you get a new objective and that is to get this girl who works at the company that did the experiments. Coincedentally, her father is the one that heads the project with Paxton Fettel

6. Later in the game, you find out that Alma is Paxton Fettel's mother, and he was put into a coma and had labor induced on her to give birth. Alma is also the daughter of the guy that is in charge of the research (see part 5).

7. Towards the end of the game, you find out that you are Paxton Fettel's brother as well, which means Alma is your mom...you were the first part of the experiment iirc (this explains the flashbacks and hearing "whats the first thing you remember?" and the woman (alma) screaming in the background saying "dont take my baby".

8. So, like any good soldier, you do your mission and end up killing Paxton Fettel. The clone army goes limp and poses no more threat, and you do "battle" with Alma and her psychic demon thingies and eventually escape as the research complex goes nuclear and explode. The last thing you see is Alma's hand climbing on the helicopter.

So, in short, FEAR is about an extremely dysfunctional, patricidal/fratercidal family.
