Ok so I have been asking left and right as to what RTS game to get since I am a noob to the genre. I have Stacraft, CoH, and WiC, and for some reason Im still looking. I have played all of them briefly each but cant seem to get into it, maybe its my lack of knowledge in the genre or something but my mind just doesnt want to grasp it. AARRRGGG I want to enjoy these games too.

Warcraft 2 and Warcraft 3 would be a good start. You can browse through RTS games on the site and DL demos for any that you find interesting. Thats what I do if I'm bored and looking for a new game. But sadly not all games have demos.

What kind of games did you play before? Maybe RTS games are not for you... Or maybe you are looking for other kind of Strat games? Like Heroes 3 (for example)

Hardcore RTS games wouldn't be a good start... Maybe, you just don't like them...I wouldn't try anymore, you would be spending money.

I second red alert 3. Good game, easy enough for someone new to the genre, extensive tutorial to help you understand whats going on

Command and Conquer: The First Decade. Quick, fast-paced gameplay with awesome story and fun, quick multiplayer. I recommend starting with the original Red Alert (even the original C&C) if you can handle dated visuals. Oh ya, and it costs 30 bucks and you get like 12 games.

Supreme Commander is good if youre looking for awesome skirmish mode with huge maps, armies, and epic battles. Singleplayer is mediocre, but its a fun game for base builders and turtlers (defense-minded players).

Total Annihilation. Excellent RTS. Once you get into the hang of RTS's, you should try CoH again.
