So last time I've been my pc and followed pc hardware was in 2003 so everything now is completly different.

I'm going to build a pc, just the desktop and was wondering IF now is a good time to build or should I wait for something ( cheaper deals soon, New hardware soon).

With that said my desktop, Im thinking of putting a budget of 500-600$ and I DONT need windows cd nor any accessories (lcd, keyboard etc). Would that be enough for a great GAMING pc?

Thx in advance.

Your not going to build a great gaming maching for $500.00. Budget yourself around $1,000.00 and you can probably get a nice machine.

It's probably cheaper just to buy a PS3 or 360 if you want high end games but just my two bits.

I have a ps3 and what? Why not? I don't need a lcd screen, windows cd, keyboard etc. All I need is the desktop equipment and with 600$ I should easily be able to build a high end pc no? 1k sounds good if including the screen etc.

Now is as good a time as any to buy. And yes, $600 can get you a pretty good rig.
