I'm really into deep and ingaging RPGs. that's why i enjoy the Final Fantasy series. Final Fantasy VII has been on my playing list for a while sence so many people say it's the best Final Fantasy game ever. However, i was woundering what platform i should get this game for, the PC, or PS?
I have a PC already, and i can get a PS. but i heard that the PS version costs hundereds of dollers. Also i'm having a hard time finding the PC version.

PLZ give me your thoughts.

PC version has better graphics and a higher resolution.  But the music suffers greatly.  For that reason alone, I prefer the PS version.

Definitely the Playstation version. The PC version has horrible FMV (grainy) and uses midi for the music. Also you have the availability a bit twisted around.... You will be extremely lucky to find the PC version for under $50 used, however you shouldn't have any problem finding the PSOne version for $10 brand new.... They are everywhere.

Well, I agree with Johnny_Rock, I prefer the PC version. The sound quality depends on the sound card you have. If you have a Creative one with support of SoundFonts you will have a great song quality.

It is a technology to improve MIDI type playing, by having better sound samples. You can find on Internet much better SoundFonts than Creative drivers hace, as Chorium or FluidR3. On the other hand, the bigger SoundFont you use, the more RAM you will need, as it loads entirely on RAM. For example, FluidR3 is about 150 MB, Chorium is more or less 25 MB.

I personally recommend Chorium. (http://www.un4seen.us/files/ChoriumRevA.rar)

Enjoy the game! :)

I suggest the PS version since youll run into a lot of trouble trying to run such an old game on a recent PC.

Agreed with above post. You will have to download a lot of patches if you want to run it on windows xp.
