Just bought the game, which probably was a mistake, but I don't listen to reviews; I find out for myself......Well so far I can't even start the dang game because every time I try opening the game I get this windows message that reads " FINAL FANTASY XIV HAS STOPPED WORKING A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." Let me know if this is something that is going on with everyone and the correct way to fix it. Thanks!!!
Update your graphics drivers and make sure you meet the hardware requirements. To completely solve the problem you will need to take the game and flush it down the toilet however. I expected it to be bad since it is a "hardcore" Japanese MMO, but FFXIV is about 10 steps backward for the genre.
I think my card is up to date, I should be good on the Reqs, I use an Alienware M15x HD radeon 5850. The game is making its way to the toilet right now. >.
What OS are you running? I haven't heard anything specifically about problems with that game and Win7 32 or 64 bit. Last resort you could do a clean install of your OS, but I would try looking on Google or the Squenix message boards.

I think it was an update issue with my card. I'm downloading what I think is an update. I will give that a try and see how far that gets me lol. Thanks for the help. :] I will be sure to break the game in memory of you! haha.

Dude, you really should've listened to the reviews. Not that reviews are the 'end-all be-all' of game selections, but c'mon, this game is broken hardcore. The problems with it are so vast that it is insulting that you are being charged monthly to beta test their game.
