then you will dig it when it becomes your internet cable Xd offering a bandwidth limit of 10Gbps :O and dont think its a long way away atm if you live in a major city its currently down the street or around the corner in a metal box linking your isp to a router (via F. optic) to standard cable out to your place :D. this is a generalization of course but ive seen the power of f. optic intnert my works got it man does it chug out speed.
I recently started using Toslink as well. I've got both my Xbox and PS3 hooked up via optical and 5.1 is truly awesome.
My Xbox works fine 100%, but the only thing that pisses me off is that my PS3 audio randomly cuts off. I've researched this a bit, and it seems it's normal for most PS3's audio to cut out randomly if it's hooked up via optical.

Huh?...I live in Africa and we have it...they just finished changing the system but the hard-line from Asia isn't here yet so we have to pay big bucks since its all satellite atm.. Thought you guys had it for yrs
