I love the sound of Fiber Optic audio on a 5.1 yamaha surround sound. It is simply amazing.

then you will dig it when it becomes your internet cable Xd offering a bandwidth limit of 10Gbps :O and dont think its a long way away atm if you live in a major city its currently down the street or around the corner in a metal box linking your isp to a router (via F. optic) to standard cable out to your place :D. this is a generalization of course but ive seen the power of f. optic intnert my works got it man does it chug out speed.

I recently started using Toslink as well. I've got both my Xbox and PS3 hooked up via optical and 5.1 is truly awesome.

My Xbox works fine 100%, but the only thing that pisses me off is that my PS3 audio randomly cuts off. I've researched this a bit, and it seems it's normal for most PS3's audio to cut out randomly if it's hooked up via optical.
