Hey all, finally decided on all the parts I want for my new pc. Will be using my old PSU ( corsair 750 tx), Cpu cooler ( nirvana zerotherm), and video card ( gtx 560 ti ssc) and will sli with new 560. Please let me know what you think and if it is a good buy.

It all looks really good, except I'd switch out the i7 2600k for an i5 2500k. Pretty much the same performance but way cheaper!

What about future proofing ? Won't the hyperthreading and extra cache come in handy eventually ? Would rather be safe paying the extra 100.

What about future proofing ? Won't the hyperthreading and extra cache come in handy eventually ? Would rather be safe paying the extra 100.

If money is no problem then you can go for it I guess. But just be aware that performance will be exactly the same now, and in the foreseeable future for those two chips, and the $100 difference is pretty big considering there's nothing on the horizon that you'd need hyperthreading for.

plus you can overclock those with low voltages like nothing
