Alright so I believe I finally have my build all pieced together. The only parts I'm still slightly undecided on are the motherboard and graphics card, but they would be minor changes (changing to an ASUS P6T, and a 4890 type of thing...) I don't have a DVD burner listed b/c I have one at home I could use, and the one i would buy on newegg is out of stock. Anyways, here's a snapshot of the shopping cart, would really appreciate any comments or suggestions. Thanks!

Also, I was planning on using Windows 7 as my OS until it releases. Is the 64-bit version fine with drivers and such? I'll be playing games on this machine as well :)

i use w7 64 bit, it's good, and i love the new task bar, but it ends on june 1st, and then it will shut down your comp every 2 hours, or if you use the Release copy, then it's lasts till 2010, but still it's such a pain to transfer files, just go with windows vista, then upgrade to w7 when it's released. i like it though, oh and btw, you have to have an OS on your computer before you can install it, it's upgrade only.

Yeah I would be using the release candidate since you don't actually have to install a real copy until March 1, 2010, and then just buying a fresh copy of windows 7 when it's out (Don't usually have a "ton" of stuff on my HD that I need to transfer)
Watch the calendar. The RC will expire on June 1, 2010. Starting on March 1, 2010, your PC will begin shutting down every two hours. Windows will notify you two weeks before the bi-hourly shutdowns start. To avoid interruption, you'll need to install a non-expired version of Windows before March 1, 2010. You'll also need to install the programs and data that you want to use. (Learn more about installing Windows.) Microsoft

Oh, and is it really true that you ahve to has an OS on your computer before you install it? I thought the disc you burn acts as an install disc which lead me to believe it could run by itself...but I have a copy of XP around anyways if I have to install that first.

I've been running 7 since the first beta came out and I love it. The build looks good by the way. The only thing I would change is the motherboard as mobos from graphics card manufacturers are usually quite poor. I'd go for something from one of the bigger, more well known motherboard manufacturers such as Asus (Asus P6T?) or Gigabyte (GA-EX58) or even MSI (not sure what their skt1366 board is called :P). Other than that, looks awesome. I want an i7 :P

trust me i did it too, i bought a new 750gb wd hdd, and i popped in the disc that i burned, and it booted up and when i went to advanced options, (it looks exactly like the vista boot screen does) it let me reformat my hdd but said i had to have a validated windows OS installed before i could install it, and you have do it from the os, idk why they care, it's free anyways, why do they care what was on their before you install w7

Can I ask why you say that? I had an Antec 1200 on my last build and found I didn't need all the space.

Yeah I was thinking about going with the ASUS P6T, but I heard that having cards in SLI covers up the HD audio plug so the audio ports on the front of the case don't work, but I guess that not really a big issue. Plus, the P6T out performed all the other boards that Extremetech.com tested so maybe it's not such a bad idea...just wish they would change the color scheme on it :P

maybe you think you don't Need a Huge Case But I remind you if in future you Sli or Crossfire you shold get A CoolerMaster HAF932 Instead it same price :D and it much better airflow then antec 900 Two & antec 1200 If you ask me: HAF 932 From Cooler master is in top 5 : Best Case Airflow In the WORLD

But According Test it like #2 And that without all the Additional fan and Replacement of Stock fan for High CFM Quality Fan which create more noise how ever http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cases/2009/05/08/coolermaster-scout-review/4
