Okay so this is the final stage right before i order and i wanted to know if this is a solid looking gaming desktop.

  • Case: Thermaltake ElementS Mid Tower
  • 1000W Sigma power
  • C2Q 9650 3.0 GHz
  • Asus nForce 790i mobo
  • 4GB Corsair Dom. RAM
  • 2 GTX 2851GB SLI
  • 500GB SATA Hard Drive
  • Multiple Cooling Fan System

So, i want to know what everyone thinks. Mostly i'm hoping for some suggestions for another component or something like that because i'm new to enthusiast gaming.

Dude with all that money that you are spending on sli don't cheap out on the psu. Why not go for a nice full tower case as well. There also isn't much (if any) of a price difference between a Q9650, a 790i, 2x2gb DDR3 and a core i7 920, an X58, and a 3x2gb kit of ddr3 and you won't have to deal with tha horrable Nvidia chipset. The i7 is also much faster and gives an nice boost to sli systems.

Also pick up a Western Digital 640gb AAKS its a great drive. Nice combo of speed and size.

I would advise getting a good brand PSu, such as corsair or antec. Everything else looks good. You could keep the phenom or get an i7, it's your choice. I don't know if there will be a big difference or not. :P

EDIT - I don't see why he would need a full tower case.
