Hey guys, In 2012 i bought Final Fantasy XIV online. Since they maked ARR now i have a few questions: 1. How can i see if i have a legacy account (since i see a legacy picture @ status) 2. How can i upgrade my XIV account to ARR account 3. I have collectorsedition of 1.0 how can i get collector in ARR? 4. Is there a way not to pay with creditcard since i dont have 1 -_- Cheers guys and thanks!
How did you pay for 3 months of service without a credit card to get legacy status? 1. If you login to your SE account you should see the legacy status there. 2. All 1.0 accounts are automatically upgraded to 2.0. I don't know of another way around that.
Not sure about the rest, but you can pay for the game in the form of pre-paid game time cards. I think there should be time cards for the game eventually, but I used ultimate game cards to buy crysta in order to pay for my subscription. All you do for those is redeem the cards and it will give you the crysta you need to buy time.

First thing is first, can you log into the Lodestone? Need to see if you got a active account there. Next, not sure if this will work for you but its worth a try, you need the Client download. Not too sure where to get it now, since Beta forums are no longer able to gain access too. The real problem here is getting a Key to play, which from my understanding it was going to be emailed out. If you do not see a email, I would try to contact SE and see how they are handling 1.0 players who did not participate in the Beta test. The Beta Test was open to all 1.0 players to get the client download and get a game key to play the game. Â

Now as far as legacy goes, you had to pay for FFXIV for at least 1 month. I believe 1 month but bottom line you had to have had sub, in order to be considered legacy. If you were under the F2P time frame you are not legacy. Only Legacy players and pre-order players have the ability to play right now. On the 27AUG the game will open up free to all 1.0 players who are not Legacy.
I am not 100% on this, but I think SE should have sent you a key for the early access, which puts your account to ARR. On the 27th all accounts will be ready for the ARR confirmation.
