Finally - Codemasters' F1 game in September.

An official announcement has finally been made. The F1 game from Codemasters will be available in September. I would have preferred the summer, quite frankly, since this summer is looking lean indeed, but September is at least a date we can look forward to now.

i never heard of f1 in my life nor this codemasters you speak of i,m really not much history buff on pc and mac games i wish i was sorry8)

Dirt 2 demo was kinda fun i guess, maybe they make ok racing games but everything else is epic G W Bush failure!!

while i can't say this for their other games codemasters makes brilliant racing games grid,dirt and dirt2 all are recent games and have been of high quality

wll be checking f1 out but wat i'm really waiting for is a grid 2

They've been given a tough mandate though - to please the sim crowd, and the arcade crowd. They knew that they had to do this. At the beginning of development, a couple of years ago, a writer asked them how they were going to accomplish this, and they said they weren't sure. If they stumble with this it will be because they were trying to please two different groups instead of just one.

I hope they succeed. We need a great F1 game desperately. Fully licensed, of course.
