Here it is, ladies and gentlemen:

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400

Gigabyte P35-DS3R

Gigabyte 8800 GT 512 MB

Kingston 2x1 GB DDR2 800 MHz

500 GB Western Digital HDD 16 MB cache, 7200 RPM

20X Samsung SATA DVD+/-RW

500 W PSU (I don't know if you heard of this brand or not, K-Mex or K-Max)

A decent Gigabyte chasis (by decent I mean cheap)

Widescreen 19" LCD screen (I don't know what to get)

I already have a copy of Windows Vista Business Edition

Total estimated sum: the equivalent of roughly $1245

I really need your opinions. I don't live in the US/Europe so I won't be buying online, but you can include links to whatever you want and I will check if these products are available in the local stores.

I'd really try to find a quality powersupply from a reliable brand. Corsair, Antec, OCZ, and Thermaltake are good brands.

Also, if the 8800GTS 512 isn't much more than the 8800GT, I'd recommend picking that up.

The 8800 GTS is actually too expenive for me, I'd like to get it though, but I simply can't.

I don't know about the PSUs... Too expensive (or they are not being sold at local stores. International shipping is too expensive!).

Cool, just a thought on the GTS. If you can, post a listing for the exact PSU somewhere.

How much better is the 8800GTS (G92) compared to the 8800 GT (in the real world, not in benchmarks)?

Most benchmarks on sites like Tom's Hardware are done using, say, a Core 2 Extreme... Who has that? Most users have a decent processor like the E6750 or E6600 (and now the E8400). Nevermind!!!

That PSU will get the job done. I've never heard of that brand before. Just curious, where do you live?

It is true that you're going to get screwed on an international order, but you really really do need to get a power supply from a more reputable brand or seriously risk damaging your entire computer after a relatively short amount of time. I bought from RaidMax and it came back to bite me in the ass.

Can someone recommend a good 19" WS LCD? Can you please stick to the following brands (they are the ones available locally): LG, Benq, Philips, NEC and maybe ViewSonic.

Thanks again.

500W will do but cheap brands are really bad, it may cheaper but it could stuff yor WHOLE computer, so getting a more known brand is better in the long run

Are you planning on overclocking? You NEED a good power supply if you're going to. The CPU is far too sensitive to changes in voltages, cheaper PSUs won't provide particularly stable voltages. This is a really really big deal when you start pushing the vcore high, but it's fine if you leave vcore at default.

Honestly, do you really need 500GB from the first day of use? Go for a 320gb hard drive, it's so easy to add another at a later date. This will save you a little cash on the initial build to afford a better PSU.

Also do you really need a DS3R? Get the DS3L if you dont have any plans to get DDR3 RAM!

Can someone recommend a good PSU from newegg for my rig?

I can ask a friend in the US to get it for me.

So, I have got most of the components save for the PSU, chassis and monitor. I am getting a good chassis with good ventilation although it's a bit on the "compact" design. I am also getting a 580 PSU by HEC, I read some reviews on newegg and it seems that they are a respectable company but mainly they sell for OEMs.

Now the problem is with the monitor. I am thinking about getting this monitor: LG L194WT 19" WS, 5 ms response time, 2000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 16.2 million colours. It also has HDCP support. Here is the link from the LG website.

Please tell me what you think.

Vista Business isn't worth the money. If you must go Vista then Home Premium will do just fine.
