haha yeah, those guys are nutters.....imagine.... reviewing the HD 2900 XT vs. the EVGA 8800 GTX KO ACS3... ahah nutters...... there are alot of reviews out there that corroborates the results found on Guru3D though.... :)
You know that card is easily overclockable on vr zone they got it to 850 core on stock cooler...MondoCool
Yes with a extra fan right beside it.
"But damnit, the shim around the core happens to be slightly taller than the core, so contact was bad! Those looking to use third party cooling better be prepared! So I used back the original cooler but with a lot more airflow:"

They have a 57C ambient temp at idle with 2D clocks?
Something is wrong with their testing conditions...
I thought ATI's cards always ran pretty hot? Back in the day, my 9800XT ran upwards of 80C under load and I'm guessing it idled at around 50C.

PikaPichu
They do but the other reviews I have read I haven't seem them get this hot before...
57C ambient with 2D clocks must be an error with the program they are using...
I get about 50C ambient when my OC'ed x1900xtx is under full load and my room is at about 80-90F...
I'll wait for a GS review....
Glordit
sssuuurreee, because you can't trust the likes of Guru3D, Hexus, Techpowerup, etc huh....
