finding the right socket type

I need to purchase a new heat sink for my cpu which is a P4 2.8 ghz northwood I think but I'm having trouble finidng the right socket type for it. Any ideas?

You're looking at a socket 478/P4 heat sink fan.

Look up your motherboard= Google

Or you can download CPU-Z or Everest home and it will tell you in detail.

How you say that.

Because of Pentium 4 ? but theres LGA processors too (Pentium 4 520).

Maybe LGA 775 heat sink fan or PGA 478 heat sink fan
