Hi everyone, ever since I gotten my computer, I have been using Firefox Browser. However, recently, it's been acting weird and making my computer freeze. Whenever I use it, It works for a few minutes to 15 minutes, then it just shuts down. No explanation, and no solution. On top of that, it sometimes bugs my internet(I don't know why). Is this a regular problem lately? The only thing that pops up is something about Add-on. Nothing else.
What other browser is there, I don't want to use IE.

Chrome is the best browser, each tab runs independant of another, so if one crashes the others don't, oh and it's the fastest.

Which addons are really that useful? I haven't found any that needed. Only one I liked was the user string agent switcher, pretty nifty.

That's the weird part. I have been using it for the past 3 years, on this computer and the previous one. I never had a problem.

Download the Firefox install. Then uninstall it and then do a fresh install.

Are you running a 64-bit OS? I am running Windows Vista 64-bit and Firefox keeps locking after about 15 minutes. Its not just firefox either it has started locking up my 32-bit IE and my 64-bit IE. I'm hoping Windows 7 64-bit will fix this as its frustrating as all get out and its happening not only on my gaming system and my notebook.

Okay, It seems it's not a problem with FireFox, or Chrome, or anything like that. It is a problem with my broadband connection. My internet provider seems to be slow. I went on Speedtest.net and it shows 14.mps for download, but there was no Upload test.

The tech support doesn't know how to run a upload test despite being a technician. Obviously, they will send a repair man who doesn't fix because this is the 5h time I called. They diagnose it as being the computers fault, or update to the speed. To prove them wrong, I need a legit, or good website that shows what i upload speed is.

To tell you the truth I do not know, but it seems like the only problem. Both my Desktop Computers and A Laptop have been slow. The start the same time. This is the only explanation

Eh, that's true. However, the speed difference doesn't warrant the lack of features that I can put on it. Firefox is much more effective at removing ads with Adblock Plus and NoScript is handy as well.

if i were to use a browser other than firefox, i would use Opera. however, if u can somehow get firefox working properly, i would stick with it due to the addons.

Okay, I got upload speed of 0.79 mbs, and download speed of 3.80 Mbs. Is that good for cable vision. I wanna be able to prove the technician wrong. Every timethey come, they say it's good without running any test. They just look at the box
