Firefox won't allow me to download mp4 files to computers

I use to use a couple of plug ins to download youtube videos straight to mp4 onto my pc. Now none of my youtube downloaders work. It starts to download the file and then completes it with nothing being copied. Same thing happens on 4 different plug ins.

This would probably be a better question for PC Hardware, as this forum is just for games.
