This is my first build ever and I need to know if everything here is good.
CPU/HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.151784

Mobo/RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.162317

GPU/Optical: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.160591

PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371007

Monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824254034

Mouse: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104178

Keyboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823126013

OS: Vista Home Premium 64-bit

Games: Crysis- $28, The Orange Box- $28, Supreme Commander- $20

What do you think of this?
Does that mobo support sli or crossfire?
I'm not sure about the RAM, I've never heard of A-data, what do you think of it?
If I SLI in the future will I have to get another 900gtx superclocked edition or will a normal 9800gtx do?
Thanks for any help.

You gotta change the motherboard and ram, the board is am3 so the 920 wont fit. And since you have to go with a am2/am2+ board , ddr3 wont work.

To answer a few quick things for you. That MB supports CrossFire Also, that CPU won't fit in that MB. Your CPU is AM2+ socket and your MB supports AM3 socket...I know that AM3 socket CPUs will work in AM2/AM2+ mother boards, but AM2/AM2+ will not work in AM3 mother boards - from what I recall. A-DATA does a good job with RAM - personally I just perfer RAM that has heatsinks on it. Since that MB only supports CrossFire, if you wanted to run with dual video cards down the road, you'd have to switch to ATI. If one card is enough for you, then either Nvidia or ATI will work.

Is this good, its triple core which i've never even heard of, but its am3. I think it would be better to get an AM3 motherboard now and just upgrade my CPU later, Am I right?

From the things I read about the new Phenom II X3 720 BE is that people were getting them OC'ed from their stock 2.8GHz to up to 3.4GHz with just air cooling. This CPU runs better then Intel's E8400 and it can hold it's own against the Q6600 and the price tends to fall in just about the right place for the performance it can offer. If you plan on OC'ing, then this would be a decent purchase - it'll even run well if you don't OC.

Alright thats good, and it gives me a little extra cash to spend on something else. What do you suggest I spend it on? Maybe a better GPU? Whats a good $200-$225 graphics card?

I'd only recommend going with the 1GB card if you plan on gaming on high resolution (1650 x 1080 or higher). If you're not gaming at high-end resolutions then you're just pretty much wasting money any any current video card that offers a 1GB version over the same card that has 512MB.

I don't know much about ATI...hell, I think I know more about women then I do about ATI cards. I'd say that your best card to pick up would be that HD4870 512MB card. If you plan on doing CrossFire sometime down the road, that MB you're looking at will support a second 4870. Like I said, I don't know much about ATI so maybe someone else can come in and correct me if I'm wrong about it being one of the better cards for you to get.

Since I'll only be playing at 1440x900 I should just go with a 512mb 4870?

That card would just fine, save a little cash and pick up the 512MB version.

If you think you're going to like Crysis, I'd probably pick up the Crysis: Warhead expansion game....I think that's what it's called. It'll run you $20-30. Other then that, it all depends on what kind of games you like to play and what games you currently have.

I like RTS, FPS, and some RPGs but they're far from my favorite type of game. I was think about Warhead, but isn't its campaing only like 5-6 hours long? I want a game that will last me.

get the orange box tf2 alone should last u quite a while and the hl2 series plus portal are some of the best single player games out there. and there are a ton of mods for hl2 that should offer u even more hours of fun.

Yeah I'm definitely getting The Orange Box, and Crysis. I need to pick an RTS that will last me a while, any suggestions?
