Ditch the Hiper PSU, try to find a P43 or 45 mobo. Look for a Seasonic, Enermax, FSP, Silverstone, Corsair or Coolermaster PSU.

Never ever go cheap on your psu I know its tempting and you tell you self it doesn't improve my computer that much. Think about this it is the only componet on your computer that has the life span of 3 or 4 different builds. Every other piece is replaced if you get a good psu you can keep it a good long time.

Asus, Gigabye or Biostar, you can probably go way more than 3ghz.

Adreed. Some Hiper PSU's are not too bad, but that one is one I would avoid.

Here is a good review of that unit.

Definitely the BioStar TPower I45 on that Q6600... you owe it to yourself! Also, what everyone else said about the PSU, I agree with - I personally would go with a Be Quiet! Dark Power 650w. It's 99.99GBP, but it's modular, and it's nearly silent! And one more thing - you're in the UK, right? http://www.ebuyer.com - they're cheaper. I don't work for them, this isn't shameless advertising. They really are slightly cheaper than Novatech (which is what you want - you don't wanna have to scrimp on the quality of the kit because the site is crap! You want the best gear, this rig should last you a long time. :) )

true i have speced a pc on there with a worse case its was cheaper. novatech to me is less then an hour drive if anything goes wrongh so i was sticking with safty :P , but i'll spec the same thing up and see the costs with a different psu on ebuyer but i have heard bad reviews of them/
