You can get a 4850 or a 9800GTX for 200$ and they are much better.

For 300$ you can get the much faster Radeon HD4870, or for 200$ the HD4850. If you like Nvidia more, the 9800gtx at 200$ is a better choice than the 8800gts.

Performance wise: hd4870 > hd4850 > 9800gtx > 8800gts

If you do you might want to consider a different motherboard since SLI would be useless, and you could save some money that way.

Do not buy the 780i motherboard, you don't need 3 PCI-e slots, save yourself like 150 bux get a nice single slot PCI-e board and get a better graphics card with the extra money yo have left over.

get a gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3L, single slot, very OCable, and with the money u spare, u can get a 4870 wich will blow the GTS out of the water
