I ahve a old sony pc that came with a floppy drive andfor me to make my new pc in raid 0 i need a floppy (my new pc is floppyless) haha. so i was going to take out the floppy drive from the sony and add it to the new pc. but when i try to attach the data cable (ide) the pins dont match up. Do you guys know y? arnt all floppy ide calbes universal? Or was that floppy ide cable made jaut for that sony pc? Thanks guys!

try using the other end of the cable

No they are not all the same, floppy IDE cables are shorter than old HDD IDE cables.
