A couple of months ago I took my PC in for installation of a harddrive, because I thought my old one was busted. Knowing more now, I know its okay. The repair guy managed to install Windows on my new harddrive without the CDs. He said as long as I had the serial key, I didn't need the CDs. I want to format my old harddrive and reinstall Windows on it so it will be fresh. Does anyone have any idea on how to do this? Thanks alot.
What are you asking here? How to format the drive or how to install Windows without the media like the reapair guy did? He (like any good IT guy) would have a generic image of Windows lying around, you'll need your own media.
