I am waiting for Age of Conan. It is looking awesome. I almost started LOTRO, but the lack of straight up PVP is keeping me from that one. Other than that I am in a gaming drought right now, still looking for something to hold me over.
LOTRO all the way..even with no staright up pvp..you have monster vs heroes..pretty much a coo lstyle of pvp..but i haven't even touched it because the game is so amazingly good..i can't get off it.
I'm playing Gothic II at the moment. Some other recent RPG's I've played are Oblivion, Titan Quest, and Arx Fatalis, the best being Arx Fatalis by far. LOTRO is too boring for my tastes, so I'm looking forward to Age of Conan and Warhammer Online.
Im giving the free Anarchy Online trials. Its an interesting game, I dont know if I like it yet though. Gonna give it another day or so since I am still only in the newbie area.
I am definately needing a break from WoW though. Thinking of trying LOTRO; sounds like it has amazing PvE content which is what I like in my MMORPGs (Ill play CS:Source if I want to frag other people).
Does anyone know if LOTRO gives you the first month free or do you need to subscribe for the first month in addition to purchasing the game itself?
BF2, BF2142, CoD2, and a little CoH/V. Warhammer is going to be good DAoC was a solid game, Mythic did a great job with it. Realm vs Realm, Keep taking, relics....god I miss that game.

I'm an AO veteran, and I can say the game isn't as great as it used to be. In Classi.c AO, the War was going at full strength. It was fun as hell and a level 120 was considered godly. The game is nothing but a grind now. The War no longer exists and players just want to kill mobs. But it's now free, so that's a definate plus.
I am playing Dawn of War Dark Crusade (online mostly), Condition Zero online (dislike source), also recently picked up Guild Wars GOTY edition and have been enjoying so far and playing some Singple Player games at the side when too bored to play online: Brothers in Arms (never really played it), and CnC3. Its been fun since I left WoW.
Anything but an MMO. Hope you guys enjoy wasting your life away pressing "1" and "2" keys repeatedly for hours on end. WoW is a crappy game, and so is anything that mimics it. I got bored of this horrible combat system among other things 8 years ago.

everyone is entitled to thier own opinion but a lot of people would disagree with you...:)
LOTRO and it is really immersing but without the gear race so you don't feel pressured into playing every day so you won't fall behind. Plus the epic storyline quests are very nice.

The first month is free. It's pretty much the standard MMORPG practice.
Suhweeeet, I can afford that....I just couldnt afford the 50+15, but just 50 is no problem. Think I will go get this weekend after I finish my senior project, three papers, two presentations, and 4 midterms....23 units at college freaking sucks.
I think I will make a minstrel as they sound like theyre in high demand...maybe I will name her "the sleeping menstrual"

Yea, and those same people are spending 40+ hours a week grinding. I bet they're having fun too, without them even realizing what they're doing :D.
