its running pretty badly at times on my machine, Vista 64, 4890, catalyst 10.2, 4 gigs ram, no other problems with any games (well except gta iv before I tweaked it). Any suggestions?

its a pretty old game...runs off the Quake 2 engine iirc.
Still, I've had it run on my PC fairly well. Dont know much about diagnosing problems like this, I heard rolling back your driver might help but not sure.
[QUOTE="KillerJuan77"]that helps a bit, but Its still unplayable in places.Set the affinity to 1 core, after that System Shock 2 and Postal 2 run perfectly.

Run the game on compatibility mode.
Also, the game uses Starforce, which can cause many problems (Game not starting, crashes, etc.), so, you could try this out: http://www.glop.org/starforce/remove.php
Ive tried everything I know how, outside of downgrading drivers. I think it might be an opengl driver issue :( how sad.

You could try running it in direct3D mode. Try adding -direct3d to the target line of a shortcut. Some gaems allow it dunno if alice does.
ok so I fixed it, it was a driver issue that seemed to have popped up as soon as windows 7 support started. So I uninstalled my display drivers, downloaded catalyst 8.9, extracted the files of both catalyst 10.2 and 8.9.
Then I copied theatioglxx.dl_ and atiogl.xml files found in the extracted folder from 8.9 and pasted them over the extracted folder for 10.2. I then ran the setup file in the 10.2 folder, now I have up to date drivers for dx and old drivers for opengl and everything works great.
Glad you have this game. i saw this as a kid but couldnt played but downloaded it yesterday. i already burned it and the first 5 miutes are great the only problem is that i cant seem to get past the pandemonium part after i talk to the old guy cuz always crashes at the hallway behind him, always in that part.
Already made a topic in the game forum but i doubt it will got check in time. So i dunno if theres a way to fix this, besides it not even launch me an error message.
