Are there any FPS games out there with full gamepad support, or do they all require playing with a keyboard (or using software to map keyboard commands to a controller)?

I don't think so. Most developers assume players would rather use a keyboard and mouse if its a fps.

Theres a program called pinnacle profilier. Lets you use your gamepad many of the newer games.

Not sure why you would rather use a gamepad for fps instead of a mouse, but to each his own I guess.

The Orange Box, Bioshock and Crysis support a gamepad... and the devil does exist.

Yes - they're on the 360 and PS3 :)

If you look for PC games with the Games For Windows logo across the top they are meant to fully support the 360 pad. The only one I can think of right now is Supreme Commander, but that is an RTS game.

I can't think why you would want to use thumbsticks instead of a mouse, but I guess I'm wanting the same thing from my 360 - to play FPS on it with keyboard and mouse.

Most games that are out on the PC and the 360 support the 360 controller. You can download certain programs to make it work in other games. Just Google.

Heh. I know most of you guys may think a Mouse/Keyboard is better, but somehow I prefer a gamepad :P

hmmm... I'd be more of a PC gamer if devlopers would bother to include gamepad support in their games.

The Gamepad mapping software is, of course, an opinion... but it never 'feels' right.

Nice to know Bioshock and the Orangebox have support...... wish there were more though :|

I can respect that if that is what you are more comfortable with.

I tend to use a controller more than a keyboard and mouse for stuff like Gears of War, Kane and Lynch and Resident Evil 4, whereas FPS feels a bit clunky for me.

I can't use keyboard and mouse if its a 3rd person action games. I usually do with fps or rts though but I can see where you are coming from.

Find a Program called XPadder, its grand.

Crysis, Crysis 2, L4D, L4D2, Deus Ex: HR, Metro 2033 are all games off the top of my head with 360 pad support.
