RTSs for me, the depth of gameplay is so much greater and the results of modding are better mostly. Hellishly addictive.aliblabla2007
Well, after Blizzard created Starcraft / Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos, it became clear to me that the RTS genre has much better of a grasp for storylines than the FPS genre will ever have.
Overall though, I'd choose FPS because I do nothing but play games online all the time.
Both equally.
Sometimes I need to kill people, other times I need to fight epic battles. Just depends on my mood that day.

Hey!! Thats a really cool computer you have there! I want one with those parts! How much?
RTS but only by one point out of 100.
RTS > FPS > 2D Platformer > RPG > Racing > Fighting > Aventure > TBS > Action/Adventure = 3D Platformers = Third Person Shooters (All the same to me)> Shooters (yes real shooters the 2D type) > Puzzle > Sim > Sports > MMO
FPS for me. For some reason the micro management involved in RTS games really intimidate me. Any recomondations for an RTS noob?ord1000
Rise and fall: civilizations at war......the game is so noob friendly :)...epic ship battles and you can even go third person on ur hero and get in the middle of the action ..they even have spartans :) which are pretty bad ass..download the demo on this site

YES! Are you one of my comrades who thinks Rise and Fall is underappreciated? It is a great game! Check out my review.

I found it when I was a noob, and didn't go on Gamespot or anything. It looked cool in the shop and I don't regret buying it.
If you had asked me years ago I would have voted both, but there hasn't been any interesting RTS games released lately :( When I need a strategy game I'll go play Civ IV, which is TBS (which I like more than FPS), and in the past year I've played more FPS than I usually doADG_
Dude...play supreme commander lately? that's about as interesting as they come...RTS all the way for me.
