What do you prefer: a First-Person Shooter or a Third-Person Shooter?

First person for action and third person for stealth. The ability to look around the corner and such is pretty much mandatory in games like Hitman and especially Splinter Cell. But the gun battles are never going to be as satisfying in third person I think.
EDIT: But it also depends what kind of third person it is. Over the shoulder view is alright and sometimes better for shooters, but the third person adjustable camera à la Hitman is just kind of awkward.
I prefer FPS's over TPS's. I like to be able to see everything in front of me, and being able to view the playing world without any interference from my character's head and body. I did enjoy both Daed Space and Resident Evil 5 and they were both third person.
Most of my favorite shooters are FPS though. (Half-Life series, Deus Ex, TF2, to name a few).
Either works for me. GeoW, ME2 and Uncharted 2 all work very well in 3rd person. Halo, CoD and Bioshock, are all excellent 1st person shooters. As long as the game is good it doesn't really matter.

I honestly like third person better than first person but it all really depends on the game. Some games you can tell wouldn't fit having the point of view swapped.
