I use fraps for moviemaking and when I try to use fraps on the orginal splinter cell, it doesn't work ( meaning that I don't see the yellow numbers) I have tried countless times even putting in the Splinter Cell Disk, but it still doesn't work. One day, randomly it worked, but I thought I had fixed it so I only recorded one scene. Would anyone know why Fraps would have trouble working on SC?

thanks

Are you sure that, you cant record, or is it that you cant see the FPS. Or frames per second, thats what the yellow number are by the way.

I also have a problem, I can't edit my fraps video. Pinnacle studio just don't want to play the vid, windows movie maker crashes like allways and ulead video studio als don't want to read the file. And it is just an normal .avi file?

I can't help OP but I can help henri.

Try encoding the video first. Fraps saves all videos in an unpacked avi format, use first a video converter to pack it a bit with xvid codec. It should work after that.

I can't see the yellow numbers, and I have tried recording with them gone, but it doesn't work. Like I said, I got it to work once

Have you got xfire running in the background? I think that xfire stops it from working, you have to have one or another.

no don't works.

But now I know what is happening. Vista says that I don't have the right to edit the video? And that there are copyright isues with my fraps videos. And also that there are faults in the codec?...
