Hey,

Looking to play a MMORPG, but no money nowadays. Are there any decent 3D, non turn-based, MMORPGs out there? I know LOTRO is free for a bit but it is also very limited in what the free version can do I have heard. Im not looking for a game that is limited to people who are non payers. I dont have a problem with item malls and such, but just want a good game that the majority of the gameplay is avaliable to a free player.

Runes of Magic is pretty open for a completely free player LotRO has alot of content completely free to F2P players, and you can earn cash shop points while playing - I would say go look at the forums at some of the guides that have been posted detailing how you can go about maximizing completely free game play [but only if you find yourself interested] Vindictus is a pretty good one too, browser based but launches full screen. It is more of an MMOARPG and plays a little like God of War Perfect World International is a pretty established free MMO that I never felt pushed towards the cash shop in Pirates of the Burning Sea just went free to play and seems to be pretty open (from the little I have experienced with it so far) for a free game. It doesn't seem to have too many hard limits on free players, and it looks like all of the content lines might be open (With subscribers getting XP/cash bonuses/discounts and extra storage stuff)

LOTRO isn't as limiting as you think. You should give it a try, its free, you have nothing to lose. Try out all the free ones to find out which one you like the best.
