Hi

Im not sure if this is wrong, but it has gotten me slightly concerned.

You see, i use Diskeeper 9 defrgamenter as my defrag programme and its great. However i noticed this the other day:

theres about 2gb off difference between what diskeeper 9 claims as free space, and what my basic hard drive properties throguh windows says :?

whats up with that? or is it fine?

And which one would be correct?

cheers

That is definitely weird, first of all. Secondly, always go with what windows tells ya, it's usually more accurate. Beyond that, i'm not sure. I've never heard of that program.

This is just a guess but I would say disk keeper is reporting your pagefile as free space. What size drive is that anyway 127 total gigs is a very odd size too small for a 160(should report between 140-150gb) to big for a 120. Thats just a guess my 400gb only loses 32gb in the conversion from HDD manufacturer Gb to MS Gb.

I reformatted it but left that HP recovery drive just in case..
