He has $1300 to spend, he wants to play crysis maxed out, he also needs a monitor, this is the best I could find for him any ideas or links? he cant spend over 1300 and he is not going to build it.

Thanks in advance.

Ouch... I am sad to say, but if he ordered the monitor about 3 weeks ago, he could have gotten it for $189 dollars. I managed to buy it from newegg for $170, and I think it was a worthy investment. My monitor does have some backbleed, and also you can't adjust the height, but other than those 2, the monitor is quite excellent. However, I don't know if you could find a equivalent for the monitor still.

The computer is pretty nice for the price. The only gripe I really would have is that the video card could possibly be better, but the computer is great for gaming right now.

He is someone I know over the internet who I have talked to almost every single day for years lol.

He really just wants to buy it from a major company, that way he has a warranty and all that stuff.

I wouldnt trust myself building a PC for him because I would end up doing something wrong.

Any more comments on how that PC would run? he is ordering it today unless I can find a better one with your guys help.

My only concern is that the parts are going to low quality value parts, other then that it will play most anything out today and all he really has to do is possibly by a new videocard in the future and extend the life of course this is taking into consideration things don't break like a generic motherboard, RAM or PSU.

Hmm by low quality parts, you mean break easy right?

What would happen if the PC broke, would gateway or new egg cover it?

My guess is newegg has a limited warranty like 30 days or so to RMA it then after that it would fall on Gateway which is a subsidiary of Acer.

http://www.dell.com/us/en/home/premium_desktop_deals/fs.aspx?refid=premium_desktop_deals&s=dhs&cs=19You you might ber able to find a coupon for further savings. Think thats like $400 off that xps with the 20 inch monitor. If u use bing you can get another 5% off I think. I have been looking at getting my self a alien ware but have been leaning toward the xps becuase u can't get such a good deal.
