I guess that depens on how much you enjoy simulators. I personally wouldn't play it without one, it being a simulation and all.

Iirc you can use the mouse as the stick / yolk (whatever its called) but I've never found that to be particularly good with flight sims :(

You can of course also use the keyboard.

I believe I read that FSX is the first in the series to req a joystick, but I could be wrong. My memory these days....

If you want to check out FSX without being a hardcore flight sim junkie, just buy a cheap $15 joystick along with it. Can you actually play the game with keyboard/mouse? Yes.... Is it going to be fun? No.

Yea, playing with the KB/mouse really makes the game suck.. when you turn with a keyboard/mouse, they wings will not return to center, so it gets very complicated to fly :(

Sorry if my terms are a bit off.. i cant remember the correct ones at the min :oops:

that would make sense...i downloaded the FSX demo and could NOT control my plane whatsoever once in the air...gg microsoft

It sucks with a keyboard. If you have a 360 controller it works well with it.
