g5 laser mouse problems

when ever i try to play some older pc games on my computer the mouse pointer gets stuck in the top left of the screen and wont drag sown also when i try to play direct x 10 games the mouse seems to be off center like i have to move the mouse above and to the right of the icon to click on it does anyone know what the problem could be?

for the older games try alt tabbing out of it and then going back in.

Do you have any of the logitech software installed for the mouse? If you do, try reinstalling it. If you don't, try installing it. If reinstalling doesn't work, try uninstalling. Did I get every combination?
