Anyone here have or had trouble using the G9/G9x mouse? I came from an MX518. Its like learning to use a mouse again. I can still get a nice KDR but gaming just doesnt feel right.

It's not my sort of mouse either. The G9x is only suited for the claw grip so if you have any other then you'll dislike it.

If Im not mistaken than mx518 is similar/same shape as g7.

Coming from that, I kind of hate the g9 sometimes which I currently use, if you can return it, I suggest the Lachesis or keep using that mx mouse.

Coming from an MX518? Should've opted for the G500 instead. Note that the G500 uses the same "SetPoint II" as the G9(x), not the old SetPoint that the MX518. G5, G7, etc. use.

Were you a claw gripper before? How long did you use the MX518? I would have gone for the G500 if I knew it existed.

i am a claw grip user(maybe fingertip) and i like smaller mouses though i still use the g500 for gaming and its been great so far.i think that palm grip gamers find it very hard to accomodate to fingertip model mouses than the other way around.

No my previous mouse before the 518 was the MX510. I was skeptical about the G9X's claw grip, but after about a week i completely forgot i used the 518 (which is also an amazing mouse). I used the 518 for over a year and the same for my mx510. The only flaw in the G9x that i can think of is the middle mouse button takes too much pressure to click. There are 2 modes though, but i feel the second mode makes it too easy to click.
