So did they need a two-page spread for his picture or something? :P .
...but good for him. I love Steam!
Although Valve going public is more likely to happen than it not happening, I have to say I hope it never does. Steam is already starting to get into the realm of monopoly, yet so far they really haven't really abused that power (even though they clearly could). I might be assuming too much but it seems that this restraint has most to do with Valve being somewhat altruistic. Or at the very least, very sympathetic to their customers wants and needs. I hate to think what would happen when Valve has a board of shareholders, who would care about profit above all else, to answer to. I fear it would be the end of Valve's good relationship with its customer base.Congratulations, I guess. I wonder when Valve is going public? Hmm?

You can say that it helped bring the popularity of digital downloading up because in all honesty, digital distribution in games was rare when or before Steam came out.

Well, he didn't claim it as one, he said "starting to get into the realm of monopoly". With Valve having 70% of the market, I can understand why.
I'm up for them going public, I want to know their annual figures. lol

No, they probably used one of those fold-out pages.
Oh man, so cruel :P Though I am actually worried about the dudes health, he should put on hold whatever he is doing (HL3) and put his well being at a higher priority....Anyway he should have been in Forbes awhile ago or been in a "people you should know in 2010" with him storming on Sonys E3 stage, Steam on Mac, new steam layout and a solid amount of titles hitting steamworks.
How come I didn't make it in there :( badtaker
