OK, quick question. I don't like running my cord down my hall to my xbox 360/ps2 and i don't wanna buy a wireless adapter. Can I plug my 360/ps2 into my laptop which has a wireless internet connection to my router to gain access to xbox live/ps2 online?

That doesn't sound like it would work but I'm no expert. I know you said you don't want to buy anything, but I got this thing called a logitech PlayLink. They're like $20 and it's basically a cableless cable. It's 2 little black boxes. Plug one into your modem and one into your xbox/ps2 and it creates a wireless bridge. It's cheap and totally plug and play so no messing around with settings is needed.

Yes, you can.  Use a regular ethernet cable to plug your 360 into your computer.  Then bridge the wireless connection and the LAN together.

I got one at Best Buy for $20 but they're on Amazon.com or you could look on froogle.com. http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=logitech+play+link&btnG=Search+Froogle

Cableless Cable is the term used for these boxes because they work exactly like a cable without a physical cable. It's like a supersimple wireless network for people who don't need to spend $50 and up on a router which they then have to faff about with to set up. These playlink style things are pretty cool. Set up takes however long it takes you to plug in a plug and attach a network cable. I have one box attached to the modem in the bedroom and the other box usually stays plugged into my Xbox360 in the front room. This means no wires running all over the floor and I didn't have to spend $80 oor whatever Microsoft charges for their own xbox wireless adapter. Here is a review of the product: http://gear.ign.com/articles/578/578595p1.html
