1. Civilization IV for cheap or civ 5 for more, imo civ IV is better but a little harder to learn. 2. Galactic civilizations, great game it's like civilization but with many changes to gameplay. 3. Eve online, yeah monthly fee, you could try the 14 day trial (or contact me for a 24 day trial). It's hard to get into and takes a while to have some fun but once you can fly some good ships with decent equipment you will love it. 4. Empire total war or another out of this series. Also 100's of hours gameplay. 5. Starcraft 2, if you like competition and fast gameplay get this RTS. 6. Get some oldies like xcom, a couple of bucks at steam atm. 7. League of legends, it's totally free and offers some great gameplay. If your familiar with DOTA mod from WC3 you will love this. 8. Dragon age origens is a very nice game much simelar to those old D&D W-rpg's. I think thats enough gameplay to waste your real life :D.
