I just recently got an Alienware M15x. To be honest I actually doubted its power, so I bought a copy of Left 4 Dead recently and it blew my mind. Seriously it looks spectacular. But I'm wondering, what should I buy now? I might not respond immediately.

For an RTS, go with either Company of Heroes or Sins of a Solar Empire.

RPG = Fallout 3

Shooter = Crysis

strategy= Men of war (makes company of heroes look asstrategicas age of empires) or another good game is World in Conflict

Random fun = world of goo

yeah, get a graphics intensive game like Oblivion, fallout 3, Crysis, Cyrostatis, etc. A budget card can OWN Left 4 dead HARD on all max + res + 16x AF and AA, it still looks good but still doesn't have EPIC graphics. If you want to test out your system, get Crysis.

All the gear, no idea... :roll: Why spend all that money on a great gaming PC when you don't know what you want to play on it? Anyway, a good place to start would be THIS LIST It is the highest rated PC games from Gamespot from the last 12 months. Or you could go for the ALL TIME LIST

Give him a break, he's asking for game advice, nothing more. Get Crysis/Warhead, The Witcher (don't know if it is a system killer, but it is an awsome game) and get World In Conflict: SA when it comes out.

Exactly, we are giving him advice which will lead to a better system that won't have to inevitably deal with some of the worst customer support in the world and also leaves him with bucketloads of games more better than he was before.

There are too many games to suggest. The Valve complete pack from Steam (a free program) would be a good start. It has the amazing Half Life Series, along with some amazing multiplayer games like counter strike and team fortress 2.

For a strategy game, Company of Heroes is one of the best.

well i hope your rig is more powerfull (even the top proforming laptop is still just a laptop not god for christ sake), and second why do you have to care about how much we paid? we wanted alienware so thats what we bought (buying something you dont want is just plain stupid) so dont be like every other hooting dickhole on the internet and just tell him what games are cool.

STALKER sucks.

It's got cool horror elements to it, but the gameplay is mediocre.

C'mon folks, Lighten up on the Alienware owners. Not everyone is bright enough to build their own computer and need others to build it for them. This is how companys like Alienware and Dell and others survive. Those that have the knowledge and ability, build their own and all others buy off the shelf. It is just the way the industry works. If they want to urinate their money away thats their problem. No amount of telling them "They wasted their money" will change them. I personaly can't suggest any games for laptops because to be honest I think Laptop gaming is as lame as it gets. But If you are one to game on a laptop, more power to ya! :)
