is there anything...simpler? Xfire runs in the background taking up CPUspeedand has a lot of features that imo are just fluff. there anything that just tracks hours played of games played and that's basically it?

I thought xfire WAS simple. It really doesn't use that many resources, I have multiple chat windows open and chat rooms consantly sending messages and my cpu is sitting at 0% and only 19mb of ram used by xfire. You don't have to use it's other features anyway, I have most of them turned off myself.

There's always Steam.... If you're playing TF2 :)

Xfire>>>>>>>>>>>>>All other potential game trackers (I actually don't know of any others)

Not sure, but I when I install many games, they keep asking me to install Comrade, I heard it's kinda like Xfire, but a lot less popular, I wouldn't get it personally since I hate Gamespy.

Comrade is some bs program that is required to enter into multiplayer matches held by gamespy I think. It's required to do MP like in Crysis if I remember correctly

You can add non-steam games to steam, and launch them through there. Although, it doesn't track stats.
