You might be able to run the installation directly from the disk. Right click on the disk drive and press "explore" and search for an icon that says "setup" and double click. That should start up the installation process. I'm not a 100% sure but it's definitely worth a try. btw i never really liked empire earth 2, the defences were to strong, which resulted in really long games.

I forgot to mention i already tried doing it directly from the CD,my bad for not mentioning that.

P.S. I prefer this over the first one anyday.

It seems the install program thinks the game is already installed. You are probably going to have to hunt down all the files and registry entries from the previous (failed) installation and try again.

Yes, but you will also have to find all the registry keys the previous installation left behind.

Ewwww, if you are not familiar with editing the registry, I would suggest some research before you try this. :)

You need to run REGEDIT to edit your registry, and you can use the search function to find related keys using key words. You can also try a registry cleaner (Google it) which should find orphan entries and clean them. This is a bit of surgery on the guts of your PC, and there is the potential of damaging your Windows XP installation, so do NOT attempt this unless you have a full backup you can restore, or you are willing to risk damaging your XP install and dont mind reinstalling.
