I'm getting a new PC sometime this week with the following specs:

Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo processor E6700 (2.66GHz)
4GB DDR2-667MHz dual channel SDRAM (4x1024)
256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS, DVI-I, TV-out, HDMI
320GB 7200 rpm SATA hard drive
Genuine Vista Ultimate upgrade (64-bit)

Now, before you tell me that my GFX card isa piece of crap and it's a waste to have with a good processor and 4GB of RAM, I know that already. My dad ordered this computer because our computer in the basement crapped out and we needed a new one. Me using this for gaming is just an extra. It's an HP Pavilion.

So, on that note, can anyone recommend me some games that I can run(especially shooters)?

One other question: I was looking at that game Fury and it looks pretty good. Does it have a monthly fee?

Far Cry, you can download it for free at filefront, and any games powered by the ID engine(doom 3, quake 4, chronicals of Riddick) and Half Lfe 2, if you like WW2 games get Pacific Assault, Call of Duty 2 or 1, Brothers in Arms

Thanks to the guy for the link. Also, I'm pretty sure it's official because I looked closely at the game box on EBGames.com and it says "Free online play".

Can anyone recommend any good shooters that my new PC can run?

You could try COD2 but with that card I'm not sure what performance you would get.If I were you I'd seriously consider upgrading for the futurecos I hate to see such a powerful rig brought down by a sub-standard gpu that isn't really designed with videogames in mind.

Have you already bought the PC?

My advice would be to buy that same spec but with a decent graphics card. Failing that get one that doesn't have a Graphics card at all. and buy one separately. Just make sure the PC has a decent Power Supply (PSU).

Play Halo Combat Evolved. It's a great game despite the fac tthat it's three years old. Graphics are slick and the multiplayer is great. You don't have to create an account to play;all you need to do is update the game once. Other than multiplayer the campaign levels are long and challenging and sometimes scary.
