Hey guys! My father's co-worker built a new PC and gave me his old motherboard, processor, and videocard.

I am waiting for the case, PSU, Memory, and SATA Hard Drives to come in.

It is an Intel Motherboard w/ Pentium D Processor. (I don't want to be too specific because this is not the hardware forum) (Also, its nothing KILLER but definatly decent.

Well, once I get it built, what are some games to get me back into PC gaming again? My old computer started to show its age at Far Cry of Half-Life 2. I pretty much haven't played a PC game since.

These can be single player or multi player. I'm sure I've missed quite a few games.

FEAR, if you can run it at high detail. It's not quite as atmosphereic on lower detail levels I find.

If you're into RTS, or want to try one, I would highly highly suggest Company of Heroes. It's simply just an outstanding game that fairly easy to pick up. Also, I would definately reinstall Half Life 2, as there are a ton of sweet mods, one called Insurgency that's coming out very soon.

If you can't play FEAR then get Doom 3. If you like RPGs then try NWN or Baldurs gate 2. C&C never hurt anyone either.

I agree. You'll enjoy FEAR much more on high detail.
