I already have a one year membership that I got for play testing Shadowrun. I've had my XBox live subscription for a while now and just transfered it over to my 360 when I got it. If I had to pay for it just to play windows based games online I wouldn't do it.thanatose
You do not have to pay extra to play Halo 2 or Shadowrun for PC, as long as you have a gold account currently.
I know I am going to be slammed for even stating this, but in my humble opinion the GFW program I think isn't all that bad. I do realize that Microsoftdoes get a base control oversome games, butso far I have not seen too many negitives on my side every game I have played under the GFW label has contained a great level of functional Quality.
What I mean is the game worksthe first time, every time.Games Like Company of Heroes, Supreme Commander, and even Halo 2 work flawlessly for me. Where as of late games like Test Drive: Unlimited, ARMA, Star Trek:Legacy, and so many recent titles have been released in extremely poor and incomplete condition as if there was no quality testing done prior to release.
OF course there are a few negitives like they seem to be a tad overpriced than some other titles, and shadowrun lacks a bit of content, and the fact that to play Halo 2 and Shadowrun you must be running Vista is a bit of a sour note with me since these two titles aren't really super special, I could see Gears of War being of a better choice.
Only thing I can say is so far I have got my monies worth out of both Shadowrunand Halo 2 even though they do lack content in my opinion, but I am happy they work properly. I cant say the same with TDU or ARMA.
