I cant think of anywhere else to ask this question so here goes...

recently when I install games I do not get desktop shortcuts or start menu folders anymore. To start my games I have to go into the install directories and find the right executables. Does anyone know why I'm having this problem?

edit: @ kdawq88 thanks, but I already knew how to do that. Just dont understand why program folders are not being created in the start menu.

Is this Windows 7? If so, most games now just put an executable in the GAMES shortcut on the menu....

Ya, what Fellipe said, and it is a PITA. It is hit and miss, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. I don't know why W7 does this but I wish they would sort it out.

Yeah, gets annoying some times. What you can do though is when a game DOESN'T put the exe in the games folder, you can MANUALLY put it there...and keep it all there...

I don't mean to bump this back up but just wanted to say thanks, I had no idea about this games folder / button, I always assumed the games button on the start menu was only for the MS games like solitaire and chess etc. cheers!
