Games like Team fortress (classic)

Hey all, can anyone help me find games like the original team fortress? Class based is mainly what I'm looking for.. but more specifically: Grenade jumping / Rocket jumping and fast paced gameplay. I play TF2 every day, it's a great game. Kind of wondering if any games like the original team fortress exist out there. Bonus points if they came out in just the past few years.

idk how active it is but Fortress Forever is a free mod for source engine that plays like TFC. You can look it up. Has a nice .exe download for people like me who have no computer smarts and just wanna press the next button to download/install.

I downloaded it but never played it. I assume its like most MP source mods that have practically nobody playing them.

you may enjoy DoD: source which came out around the smae time CSS did. another fps you may enjoy is APB; reloaded. while not a true class absed fps once a amtch gets going your essentially limited to a sidearm (like everyone else), your choice of explosives, and then your primary weapon which come in several varieties from assault rifles, to rockets t sniper rifles to shutguns to smg's. and you only get to carry one of those. it has no melee per say but 1) its free and 2) its recent and finally 3) its very improvised.

multiplayer maps happen in the same instance as everyone else's mp maps but are kept seperate due to matchmaking. both teams are given opposing objectives and both race to complete them/stop the other side from completing them. however its a serious game there is no nade or rocket jumping there also isnt any melee. there usually in different places everytime though you will eventually get some overlap.

it should be ready for re-launch within a month or two.
