Games Minimizing to the desktop

Okay so tonight I was playing borderlands and all of a sudden in the middle of a battle the screen goes black and it minimized to the desktop so I click on it again and it popped back up weird thing is it happend to me with call of duty modern warfare 2 not crashing just minimizing.

What could be causing this ?

Any help ?

You might have some keys assigned to minimize or go to desktop. There could also be another program trying to maximize (this used to happen to me a lot in the past).

I don't think so

Ive seen background apps like instant messagers cause games to umm, "windowize"... Lol I would shut everything not needed (anything in task tray and all apps) and see if it makes any difference.

I actually had a problem like this a while ago and it turned out I had a virus.

Scan with this and see if it fixes the problem... http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
