Games that need to be re-released

Some of the more popular used p.c games are getting really expensive. Sure, still not the price of a new 360 game.....

Anyway, for what you get, (which is usually only the disks) chasing some of the older games with SS2 and other's is getting too rich for my blood.

Games that need to be re released on either cd or steam (or download system of choice)

1 System shock 2. You just released bioshock, now's the time for a 3 for one shock deal or something.

2 The Jedi knight series, i've been playing the demo's and they are awesome

3 Lucas arts adventure games. Yes people still want to play them. Yes your losing money because of people pirating them because they still want to play them...

From what I've read, the System Shock franchise is owned by EA now, not Irrational Games, so there's no chance of a Shock bundle.Technoweirdo

SS2/SS1- a pack would be nice. i never got to play SS1.

System Shock 1 and 2.

A complete Bullfrog collection.

Speedball 2. (This does actually have a rerelease in UK on the crucial entertainment line, but North America and the rest deserves it too.)

A boxed version of Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines.

Exhumed. It's a very little-known FPS/puzzler with a cool Egyptian/aliens theme. I have the original W95 version, but I can't get it to work. Would love an XP compatible version.

Knights of the Old Republic. Not exactly old, I know, but it's a pain to find cheaply. Games that old should be readily available and cheap!

Flashback. Another World (also known as Out of This World in USA, I think) recently got a re-release. Which is awesome, but Flashback is the better game, I'd say.

I'd also love to see a re-release of the first person Psygnosis adventure game Sentient. Actually, a remake. With voice acting and modern visuals. But I'd take a re-release. It's one of the best adventure games I've ever played.

I don't know how well they'd all go being remade. Dune2 was remade (Dune 2000) and it didn't do to well. The game was exactly the same, just updated graphics and a few other features RTS games had brouht out at the time. (like selecting multiple units at a time).

These were all re-released earlier this year (or was it last year?), except for Monkey Island 1,2 and 4.

Then again, the re-releases might have only been exclusive to Australia - but I can easily walk down to the shops tomorrow and buy Fallout 1, 2, Grim Fandango, The Dig, etc, all for under $10 each.

4D Boxing, Wolf, X-Com UFO Defense/Enemy Unknown, Police Quest 1-3 and Full Throttle. I'd gladly pay $5-$10 for each of these if they were attached to my steam account for 24/7 access. $5 if they were simply thrown on there, $10 if they included updates to make them XP/Vista compatible so nobody would have to worry about DOSbox ect. wolf, huh? that's the first time i've seen that game mentioned here on the forum. ever play the sequel, lion (or was it some other animal)? i've never played either, but i'd be willing to try it for $5. i love the other games you mentioend, especially 4d boxing and x-com. it's weird how steam has x-com: terror from the deep but not the original. i remember terror from the deep being incredibly difficult near the end, but the original was just right in level of difficulty.

i have both monkey island 3 (curse of) and monkey island 4 (escape from) but i cant play either of these because i'm running widows vista premium which is 64bit.

how do dos box or this steam people arte mentioning work and where can i get them from i really wanna play them again.

I also agree. Don't know why more devs haven't tried to make a FPS in a western setting, it's easily one of the most underused concepts out there. Anyway, yeah, Outlaws was great.

I'd like Warzone 2100 to be re-released but with graphics upgrade.

One of my favourite RTS games, because it was like a C&C game but you could design and build your own units.

I'd like to see Thief 1 & 2 re-released in a multi-core processor, XP/Vista compatible version.

You CAN run these Monkey Island games under Vista 64. You need to download an alternative installer for these games. You will find the Vista compatible installers here:
