What are some great older games that you still play today? I'm looking for any gems that I may have missed. For me it probably has to be either KoTOR 2 or CnC Red Alert 2.

C&C originals, including C&C, C&C RA, and C&C TS.
Zelda games
Metal Gear Series (all of them)
Diablo Franchise (My GF and I were playing Diablo2 Coop Lan about a year ago. Got tired of it cause all these other games lol, but it was still pretty fun.)
Parasite Eve franchise
Resident Evil franchise
Mario franchise
Silent Hill franchise
These are some of my games that are Old that can easily be picked up an played whenever! (Its harder for me to get into older FPS games, I use to love DUke Nukem, Shadow Warrior, and Blood, Turok back in the day, but for FPS graphics play a bigger role than those other games I mentioned!)
Ultima Underworld I and II: My god these games are amazing as I'm playing it for the first time. 20 years old and it feelsbetter then a lot of the games today.
Planescape Torment: Old graphics and technological advancements sure don't get down the best story in gaming.
Unreal Tournament 2004: The last truly great deathmatch game. It also happens to have the most variety of any of them.
Guild Wars: Looks good, plays good and still tells a good story 5 years later.
Doom: The shooting and level design is still as good as in 1993.
Blood: See Doom but for 1997.
Games that stand the test of time are mostly games wich offer solid gameplay:
* Jagged Alliance
* Rome Total War
* Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn
* F.E.A.R.
* Command & Conquer: Red Alert AND Tiberian Sun
I replayed some others which I held in high esteem but do not hold up so good anymore today: Max Payne, System Shock 2, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, ...
Pc games:
Non PC games:
Good news by the way, a lot of these games are so old that you can download them legally for free.
Warcraft III
Diablo II
Starcraft I
The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
Super Mario Bros.
There are others, but I'm done now...:roll:
Oh man, Red Alert 2. I wish it worked on multi-core CPUs. That was my favourite RTS of all time.
I'm not counting anything younger than 2004.

- Descent 1 and 2. Still nothing like them, and they have badass weapons. Also, diamondclaws. DIAMONDCLAAAWS
- Medal of Honor: Allied Assault (except the large outdoor levels)
- Far Cry with FCAM (except the cramped indoor levels)
- KOTOR (except Manaan. F Manaan)
- Baldur's Gate series (with TuTu for BG1)
- Half-Life and OppFor. Fighting the HECU is still fun
- The Neverhood
- Freespace series (FSOpen FTW)

Have you tried setting the Affinity to only one core with RA2?
To do this you open the game, Then open task manager (Cntrl+Alt+Del) go to the processes tab, find the Red Alert EXE, right click it. choose set affinity, then choose only one core. (see if that helps, Have to do it with Silent Hill 2 for multi core cpus)
I could start listing titles, but at the minute I'm playing No Lives Forever 2 for the first time, and it's surpising how well it has aged in over 8 years - in graphics, gameplay and sound.
I tranquilised a guy standing on a hill, and he rolled down it. Might not sound like much, but it took me by surprise. Also the enemy tracking my footprints! Can't remember a game in recent memory that had that.

Metal Gear Solid. Just a few nights ago a soldier saw my footprints in the snow and was like hmm, whose are these? Started following them lol.

Ah yes, forgot about Metal Gear Solid. It's even older! Strange we haven't seen it used a lot in other stealth related games - Crysis, Far Cry (the beaches), Hitman 2 (the snowy levels in Japan). Would have been a nice way to expand the AI in those games.
Homeworld -played it last year, none of the fantastic atmosphere and ambience has gone over the years
Mafia
Worms: Armageddon
No other rts comes close to having as much personality as Ra 2. yeah I feel like doing a grizzlies tank rush right now lol. RIP Westwood best rts dev ever until EA came...Oh man, Red Alert 2. I wish it worked on multi-core CPUs. That was my favourite RTS of all time.

Did that. Wouldn't work. The SAGE engine runs, but lags horribly. Makes the game unplayable. :|
Morrowind. If you really can't stand the graphics or animations get the sound and graphics overhaul mod that makes it look far better than skyrim does.
Max Payne 2

This. Max Payne 2's graphics were way ahead of it's time, and the game still looks good.
What mod is that? I'm thinking of getting morrowind rather than oblivion to play this summer. Link please :DMorrowind. If you really can't stand the graphics or animations get the sound and graphics overhaul mod that makes it look far better than skyrim does.
